Following a series of sexual misconduct allegations against casino mogul Steve Wynn this week, Politico reported Saturday that he has resigned from his position as finance chairman for the Republican National Committee.
President Donald Trump personally selected Wynn for the senior position within the party.
RNC chair Ronna Romney McDaniel confirmed that she accepted the billionaire’s resignation.
Wynn’s replacement had not been named as of the latest reports available.
After he was accused of harassment and misconduct by at least a dozen women in a bombshell Wall Street Journal report Friday, his Wynn Resorts market value dropped about 10 percent with his own personal net worth slipping by roughly $250 million.
