Ex-CIA chief says Trump’s inexperience ‘coming home to roost’

In a recent MSNBC interview, former CIA chief John Brennan unleashed on President Donald Trump as a leader wholly unqualified to handle the complexities of the job as well as the scandals brewing within his administration.

“It is no secret to anybody that Donald Trump was very ill prepared and inexperienced in terms of dealing with matters that a head of state needs to deal with … and I think this is now coming home to roost,” John Brennan told Nicole Wallace, host of the special “Deadline: White House.”

Specifically, he claimed Trump is incapable of handling threats emanating from Russia and North Korea.

“Our country needs to have confidence that we’re going to be able to deal with Mr. Putin, who is flexing his muscles once again on the military front, that we can deal with North Korea, that we can deal with these issues,” he said.

His comments came on the heels of Putin’s declaration that Russia possesses advanced nuclear weapon capabilities.

Brennan went on to describe the president as “unstable,” “inept” and “unethical.”

The Obama-era official described Trump’s behavior as “surreal,” particularly in reference to a tweet Friday morning taking a personal jab at actor Alec Baldwin’s “Saturday Night Live” impersonation.
