National Rifle Association board member Ted Nugent intensified his partisan rhetoric Friday during an interview with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
Days after claiming student activists who survived February’s school shooting “have no soul,” he broadened his scope to include an apparent endorsement of violence against a wide range of political adversaries.
“Just know that evil, dishonesty and scam artists have always been around and that right now they’re liberal, they’re Democrat, they’re [Republicans in name only], they’re Hollywood, they’re fake news, they’re media, they’re academia, and they’re half of our government at least,” he said.
The avid hunter went on to compare these groups to “rabid coyotes” that must be eradicated.
“You don’t wait till you see one to go get your gun,” he said. “Keep your gun handy. And every time you see one, shoot one.”
