“The View” co-host Joy Behar offered an incendiary take on the state of international relations Thursday, suggesting the U.S. president demonstrates less “sanity” than his power-hungry counterparts in North Korea and Russia.
“We have gotten to a point in the world now where we have to rely on the sanity of Kim Jong Un and Putin over the president of the United States,” she said.
Specifically, she was referring to recent provocative tweets President Donald Trump has posted hinting at an impending missile strike on Syria.
Behar and co-host Sunny Hostin discussed Trump’s perceived inability to “compartmentalize” issues before Meghan McCain suggested it was inappropriate to suggest “moral relativism between someone like Kim Jong Un and Putin and President Trump.”
On this issue, however, Behar said she stands by her assessment.
“What I’m saying is I see the two of them with backing off of war, and I see President Trump provoking war,” she said.
