It didn’t take long for an interview between Monica Lewinsky and Israel’s Channel 2 anchor Yonit Levi to run off the rails.
Referencing former President Bill Clinton’s previous assertion that he did not feel he owed her a personal apology, Levi asked Lewinsky if she still expects to hear from him.
“I’m sorry, I’m not going to be able to o this,” Lewinsky said before placing her microphone down and walking off the stage with Levi following after her.
Lewinsky later asserted that the interviewer asked the question “with blatant disregard for our agreement” to not ask about the scandal involving her affair with Clinton.
She said such questions had been labeled “off limits” prior to the interview.
“I felt because it is more important than ever for women to stand up for themselves and not allow others to control their narrative,” she wrote.
