Chamber says Bill Cosby’s Hollywood star will stay put

Even after Bill Cosby was sentenced to as much as a decade behind bars for drugging and raping a woman in 2004, the 81-year-old comedian’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star will remain in place.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce released a statement calling the stars a commemoration of “professional accomplishments” by honored entertainers.

“It is regrettable when the personal lives of inductees do not measure up to public standards and expectations,” the statement continued.

According to the chamber, it “does not remove stars,” which “are intended to be permanent.”
