Reports indicate Texas authorities told a Hamilton woman to remove a handmade campaign sign from her yard after a local elected official complained.
The painted design showed an elephant — the Republican Party mascot — with its trunk up an unidentified female’s skirt.
Sid Miller, the state’s agriculture commissioner, posted images of the sign on Facebook and claimed the person depicted is “supposed to be Judge Kavanaugh’s young daughter.”
Its designer, however, said it was patterned after a previous political cartoon and was in no way intended to represent the juvenile girl.
Local police officers nevertheless visited Marion Stanford and told her if she did not remove the sign they would confiscate it, according to town officials. In the end, she reportedly told them to take it.
