Libertarian comedian Adam Carolla expressed criticism this week of calls for stricter gun control in response to mass shootings.
“I don’t blame the guns,” he said in a recent Hill.TV interview. “There’s millions and millions of guns. I don’t think we’re going to unring that bell.”
Instead, Carolla said he would “like to talk about mental health issues.”
The author, broadcaster and frequent contrarian also shared his take on renewable energy. He said he wants America to continue exploring new options, sustaining the industry’s existing jobs in the meantime.
“Why are they mutually exclusive?” he asked. “I don’t get it. Like I want solar power. I want free power. My wife drives a Tesla, but also, I don’t want to fire everyone in the fracking industry because we’re going to build windmills.”
