Though the two might not share much common ideological ground, “The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert nonetheless stood up for Tucker Carlson following a demonstration at the Fox News Channel host’s residence.
Colbert tweeted Thursday not only that those who participated in the threatening act should be denounced, but that Carlson critics should “take no pleasure” in the demonstration.
Fighting Tucker Carlson’s ideas is an American right. Targeting his home and terrorizing his family is an act of monstrous cowardice. Obviously don’t do this, but also, take no pleasure in it happening. Feeding monsters just makes more monsters.
