Federal judge: White House must restore Acosta’s press credentials

After the Trump administration’s controversial move to revoke CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta‘s press credentials, a lawsuit was filed arguing it was a violation his first and fifth amendment rights.

Though Federal Judge Timothy Kelly has not ruled on the merits of the suit, he did decide this week that the White House must reinstate Acosta’s pass in the interim.

The ruling was at least a short-term victory for CNN, which had sought the temporary restraining order Kelly approved on Friday.
