Following his recent interview with the president, “Fox News Sunday” anchor Chris Wallace said he is left with the presumption that Donald Trump is exceedingly unlikely to agree to a sit-down interview with Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller.
Though the it will not air until Sunday, Wallace discussed the interview with fellow Fox News Channel anchor Shepard Smith — including a question regarding whether Trump would agree to such a meeting as part of the ongoing probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
“I will say this: I don’t think there’s very much chance that he is ever going to sit down for an interview with Mueller.”
Wallace’s assertion came after Trump told reporters that he has already prepared responses to written questions provided by Mueller’s team.
As Scope News previously reported, another excerpt from the upcoming interview revealed that Trump believes he “should have” visited Arlington National Cemetery in observance of Veterans Day.
