Following a post-election press conference in which President Donald Trump listed Republican candidates he believed lost their races because of disloyalty to him, one of the individuals he mentioned has reversed her fortunes — at least temporarily.
Rep. Mia Love, R-Utah, has pulled ahead of Democratic rival Ben McAdams in her re-election bid. As of the latest count, she is 419 votes ahead for a lead of 50.1 percent to 49.9 percent.
Love was narrowly trailing McAdams and a winner had not been announced when Trump mocked what he deemed a loss.
“Mia Love gave me no love and she lost,” the president said. “Too bad. Sorry about that, Mia.”
