One of the figures within the scope of special counsel Robert Mueller‘s ongoing probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election recently announced he plans to file an unspecified complaint against the Department of Justice.
Calling him “a political hack and a criminal,” Jerome Corsi said his attorney is “preparing to file criminal charges against Mueller.”
The right-wing conspiracy theorist, who turned down a deal that would have allowed him to plead guilty to one count of perjury, seems to believe Mueller’s behavior should be investigated.
“We’re going to say to the Office of Professional Responsibility and the inspector general that the way these prosecutors on Mueller’s team behaved with me, and the deal they gave me, which was fraudulent, I believe demands a criminal investigation,” he said.
Corsi, an associate of former Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone, has denied he was in contact with Wikileaks ahead of the release of Hillary Clinton’s stolen emails. Instead, he defended suspicious emails to Stone by claiming he intuited what the organization’s founder had and when he would release it.
