After fast food at White House, chef invites team to ‘an actual celebration dinner’

President Donald Trump invited the Clemson Tigers football team to the White House for a selection of fast-food entrees.

But for the owner of Chicago’s most acclaimed fine dining establishment, that event was insufficient to mark the team’s recent championship. In a recent tweet, Nick Kokonas invited the players to Alinea “to experience what an actual celebration dinner should be.”

“I’m not joking,” he wrote. “Someone let them know what The Alinea Group does. It’ll be worth it.”
