In a tweet this week, the president panned Schiff’s decision, calling it a furtherance of a “witch hunt” against him and slamming the House Intelligence Committee chair for “stealing people who work at the White House!”

Schiff shot back by defending his choices as part of a “long tradition of hiring out of the intelligence community,” offering some advice to Trump.

“And if the president is worried about our hiring any former administration people, maybe he should work on being a better employer,” he wrote.
