Siding with his father, Donald Trump Jr. attempted to jab two major newspapers awarded a Pulitzer Prize that President Donald Trump believes they didn’t deserve.
“So funny that The New York Times & The Washington Post got a Pulitzer Prize for their coverage (100% NEGATIVE and FAKE!) of Collusion with Russia – And there was No Collusion!” the elder Trump tweeted. “So, they were either duped or corrupt? In any event, their prizes should be taken away by the Committee!”
Trump Jr. shared his take on the president’s post.
“He’s right… unless they give Pulitzer’s [sic] for fiction,” wrote the younger Trump, concluding with the hashtag #fakenews.
Plenty of Twitter users were quick to point out that the prestigious award does have a category for fiction writers.
