Though former Vice President Joe Biden has not declared his candidacy for the Democratic Party’s nomination in the 2020 presidential race, most indicators point toward an eventual announcement.
In recent days, however, he has come under increasing scrutiny amid multiple allegations that he inappropriately touched women.
As President Donald Trump addressed the National Republican Congressional Committee at a recent dinner, he took a swipe at the man he called “the only non-sort-of heavy socialist” expected to seek the nomination.
He suggested Biden has “been taken care of pretty well by the socialists” in the party.
“I was going to call him,” the president said. “I don’t know him well. I was going to say, ‘Welcome to the world, Joe. You having a good time, Joe? Are you having a good time?'”
Trump has faced multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.
