Following an apparent kidnapping at a California fast-food restaurant on Tuesday afternoon, police say they have arrested a suspect.
The incident occurred at about 3:15 p.m. at a Los Angeles-area McDonald’s. The following day, 33-year-old Maralyn Ramos was in custody.
Surveillance footage reportedly shows her walk up to a 4-year-old child and abscond with him.
A witness reportedly intervened in the parking lot as she attempted to enter a parked vehicle. On Wednesday evening, Los Angeles police were on a different call and spotted the suspect.
Ramos remained behind bars with bail set at $100,000 as of the latest reports available. She is expected to face a criminal charge of kidnapping.
