‘Bring them to the Trump hotels’: Florida mayor shares plan for migrant influx

The Democratic mayor of Broward County, Florida, is preparing for a possible influx of undocumented migrants to his area.

Warning of a “homeless encampment” he said would form without adequate housing options, Mark Bogen issued a request to President Donald Trump.

He has signaled that as many as 1,000 families per month are set to be dropped off in the counties of Broward and Palm Beach.

“Bring them to the Trump hotels and ask the president to open his heart and home as well,” he reportedly said.

Bogen called the brewing situation a “humanitarian crisis” in need of real solutions.

“We will do everything possible to help these people,” he said. “If the president will not provide us with financial assistance to house and feed these people, he will be creating a homeless encampment.”
