Disney’s Iger thinks it won’t be ‘practical’ to film in Georgia after new abortion law

A major player in the entertainment industry has joined a growing list of businesses threatening to leave Georgia after Republican Gov. Brian Kemp signed a controversial abortion bill into law.

Disney CEO Bob Iger made the announcement earlier this week.

“I think many people who work for us will not want to work there, and we will have to heed their wishes in that regard,” he said. “Right now we are watching it very carefully.”

Iger went on to say he did not believe it would be “practical” for Disney to continue operations in the state. The company has filmed hits including “Avengers: Endgame: and “Black Panther” in Georgia.
