If the 2020 presidential campaign comes down to Donald Trump against Joe Biden, Anita Hill seems to be siding with the former vice president.
Despite the fact that he led the Senate committee that addressed her sexual harassment claims against then-Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas in 1991, she said her rocky history with the former senator does not mean she would automatically support Trump if Biden is the Democratic nominee.
Asked whether Biden’s behavior “puts him on a moral equivalency with Donald Trump,” Hill made her opinion clear.
“Absolutely not,” she said. “I’ve never said that and I’ve never intended to say that. And I’m not even sure that anything I’ve said has actually hurt Joe Biden’s campaign.”
