No time for ‘bulls–t’: Former FEMA head storms out during live MSNBC interview

As MSNBC host Katy Tur asked a pair of panelists about the federal and local responses to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak in the U.S., one guest took offense to the other’s criticism and left the on-air interview.

Craig Fugate, who served as the administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency under President Barack Obama, was making the argument that state governments should take the lead instead of waiting on federal reinforcements. Andy Slavitt, who was acting administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for a period during the same administration, disagreed.

“I don’t have time to listen to bullshit, people,” Fugate fumed as he took off his microphone and walked off the cable news network set.
