The Republican official appeared on the Fox News Channel on Monday, making his argument in a conversation with host Tucker Carlson.

“There are more important things than living, and that’s saving this country for my children and grandchildren and saving this country for all of us,” Patrick said.

He went on to encourage people to “take some risks” with the lives of themselves and their loved ones in order to “get back in the game and get this country back up and running.”
