Fauci: ‘I think you’re going to be seeing a little bit more of me’ in near future

Nearly a month after Dr. Anthony Fauci last addressed the American people as part of the White House coronavirus task force, CNN’s Anderson Cooper asked the longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases about the absence.

“I think you’re going to be seeing a little bit more of me and of my colleagues,” Fauci replied.

He cited recent conversations “with the communications people” in determining that it is time to end a “lull” in updates from health officials.

“They realize we need to get some of [this] information out, particularly, some of the scientific issues for which I am predominately responsible for,” he concluded.
