Without offering any details to her wild speculation, Fox News Channel host Jeanine Pirro said on Wednesday that she had a “strong feeling” that presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden‘s campaign will not make it until Election Day.
“For some reason, I just have this feeling that Joe Biden isn’t going to be on the ticket,” she said. “I have a sense that something’s going to happen before the election, and he’s not even going to be on the ticket, so don’t even ask me if he’s going to make the four years.”
The remarks led to widespread criticism on social media. Biden, 77, is three years older than Donald Trump and both candidates have faced scrutiny regarding perceived age-related mental or physical decline.
Biden, who selected U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., as his running mate this week, has asserted that his vice president would be equipped to handle the job on Day One.
Pirro went on to say she hopes Biden “lives forever” and was only arguing that she doesn’t “know what is happening in the Democrat [sic] Party.”
