Despite his acquiescence to Donald Trump’s whims over the past four years, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky, sounded off from the Senate floor on Wednesday about efforts to overturn the election of President-elect Joe Biden ahead of the congressional move to ratify the Electoral Vote tally.
“We cannot simply declare ourselves a national board of elections on steroids,” he said.
The GOP leader went on to declare: “The voters, courts, and states have all spoken. If we overrule them it would damage our republic forever.”
