“The View” co-host Joy Behar attracted criticism this week for misgendering Caitlyn Jenner, who recently announced her bid to replace Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
After repeatedly referring to the transgender former Olympian as “he,” Behar apologized on air, saying: “First of all, let me apologize for my pronoun mix-up. I think I just didn’t get enough sleep last night. I had no intention of mixing them up, and I tried to correct it immediately, but whatever. It just came out. So I’m sorry if anybody was upset by that.”
The Republican gubernatorial hopeful weighed in on Twitter, making it clear that she had no intention of holding a grudge.
“I know where your heart is. California has bigger issues than pronouns,” Jenner wrote.
