The owner of Aixa Maria’s Gift Baskets is bringing a huge fall market back to Korner’s Folly for a second year next week. With nearly 45 vendors of all types expected to set up shop on Oct. 15, Aixa Maria Haskins told Scope News that there should be something for everyone.
“We are bringing back the photo booth that we did last year,” she said, explaining that attendees will have a chance to commemorate the event in front of an autumn-themed backdrop.
The market will also include “some outdoor games for families to play as they shop and let their food settle after eating some delicious food from our food vendors,” Haskins added.
She noted that Kyle’s Coffee will have a booth to help keep shoppers warm and caffeinated while Kris’s Cocina will be offering a selection of tasty Hispanic cuisine.
“In addition to our amazing vendors, food, and games, we also have local musician, Kevin Holdson, performing live,” she said.
As for the venue, Haskins explained that Korner’s Folly is a “perfect” location for such an expansive outdoor market.
“They have a beautiful, historic house as a one-of-a-kind backdrop as you shop,” she said. “Their outdoor grounds are beautiful, just as the inside of the house.”
Admission is free and the market will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The house museum, located at 413 South Main Street, will be open throughout the day. Click here to purchase tickets for a self-guided tour.
“I’d like to thank Korner’s Folly for always being so gracious with sharing their space with us,” Haskins concluded. “We hold two to three events here each year, and without them it just wouldn’t be possible.”
