Kernersville Parks and Recreation is hosting a free Halloween-themed event this Friday with plenty of treats to balance out the tricks.
Haunted Movie Night is sure to put attendees in the right mood for the season with Harmon Park transformed into a graveyard and an airing of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” set to begin at dusk.
The 1993 animated film follows Halloweentown’s pumpkin king, Jack Skellington, as he discovers the bright new world of Christmastown.
Admission is free and there will also be several food trucks and vendors on site. Commemorative T-shirts will be available for $15.
Complimentary “haunted goodie bags” will go to the first 100 people to arrive.
Halloween fans of all ages are invited to attend what organizers say will be a “spooky, but not scary” event for the whole family.
