After a couple of months in Kernersville, I’m still continually impressed by its robust and thriving community of local small businesses. From some of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited to the artisans who set up shop at outdoor markets around town, it is obvious that the virtues of entrepreneurship and hospitality are alive and well here!
Last night, my wife and I took our son trick-or-treating downtown and we experienced yet another reason that local businesses remain the lifeblood of any close-knit community.
I realize that many of you aren’t familiar with Scope News — and you might understandably be skeptical of my intentions.
Please allow me to clarify.
I’m a career journalist whose only motivation for launching this site is to spread the word about the interesting things happening around my new hometown. In many cases, that directly involves a local business or entrepreneur taking the lead in organizing a fun and worthwhile event.
So if you’re a small business owner (or know someone who is) and are planning something special, I invite you to let me know about it. Whether it’s a customer appreciation night, a fundraiser for a good cause, a performance featuring local talent, or just about anything you’re excited to announce, just drop me a line at bchrisagee@gmail.com or use the form below.
I’m more than happy to do what I can to amplify your message. While I can’t guarantee any specific results, I have been encouraged by the feedback and engagement my first few articles have received. I’ll share the news on this site and social media accounts with a growing audience of local folks interested in what is going on in Kernersville.
And if you happen to be interested in advertising on the site, I’ll be happy to work with you to create a targeted and cost-effective campaign geared toward reaching your unique business goals.
