The weather is getting warmer and Kernersville Parks and Recreation is bringing back a local summertime favorite.
Harmon Park will host the first in this year’s “Movie in the Park” series next week with a free showing of “Minions: Rise of Gru.” The latest installation in the “Despicable Me” franchise focuses on the origin story of its infamous villain.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. on May 18, at which time attendees can visit one of the food vendors, which will include Chick-fil-A, Kona Ice, Hot Dog Hideaway, and D&R Sweets. The movie will begin at dusk and attendees are encouraged to bring along a lawn chair or blanket.
