Visitors will notice some construction work across 4th of July Park over the next several weeks.
According to Kernersville Parks and Recreation, the walkway throughout the park will be repaved, beginning with a section set to be demolished on Tuesday.
As the project gets underway, one area will be removed and fenced off before being filled with new concrete the following day. After drying for 24 hours, the improved portion of the walkway will be reopened to park visitors and workers will move on to another section.
“This pattern will continue until everything is complete,” the department stated.
The entire walkway is expected to be finished in 30 days.
