Drone Light Show Will Cap Off Local Juneteenth Event

A unique celebration is being planned for Harmon Park this week.

According to Kernersville Parks and Recreation, the Juneteenth event on Tuesday evening will include the town’s first-ever drone light show, concluding a night packed with music, food, and fellowship.

The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with opening remarks, a prayer, and music by singer Joy Cone. Bishop Seth Lartey will be on hand to deliver the keynote address at 7 p.m., followed by a Motown tribute performance by veteran recording artist Al Zaid.

Following a closing prayer at 8:30 p.m., the drone light show will wrap up the celebration.

Food vendors on site will include Hot Diggity Dog NC, Vice Cream, and Kona Ice of Kernersville.

Admission to the event is free and the first 100 attendees will receive a complimentary T-shirt.
