Five individuals were displaced Friday evening when a blaze engulfed a home in the 1000 block of Barry Oak Court, according to the WInston-Salem Fire Department.

Officials confirmed that firefighters from both Winston-Salem and Kernersville responded to the scene. Although the damage was extensive, the incident fortunately did not result in any injuries.

Reports indicate the residential fire was caused when flames from an outdoor grill spread to the home.
