Another Suspect Arrested In Connection With Dozer Theft

Nearly a month after an investigation was launched into a bulldozer stolen from Thomasville, a total of four local individuals are now facing charges related to the crime.

According to a press release from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, investigators from that agency as well as Forsyth and Stokes County, the Kernersville Police Department, and Highway Patrol conducted a probe into the stolen Caterpillar 953C Track Loader valued at $110,000.

The bulldozer was located on July 5 after it was abandoned in Stokes County. Matthew Dylan Combs, 25, of Kernersville, was arrested the same day on suspicion of felony larceny.

In the days that followed, Devin Lynn Combs and Timothy Matthew Combs were arrested on a slate of related and unrelated charges.

Most recently, 46-year-old Betty Michelle Tilley of Kernersville was arrested and charged with felony larceny, conspiracy to commit felony larceny, conspiracy to obtain property by false pretense, felony altering or removal of serial number, and injury to personal property.

Davidson County authorities say Sonya Leann Jones of Thomasville is wanted in connection with the theft and other suspects are still being investigated.
