‘Shopping For Education’ Kicks Off Wednesday

The Kernersville Chamber of Commerce is once again sponsoring a community-wide campaign to fund grants for local teachers and several area businesses are participating in the four-day event.

Much like the annual Eating for Education events during which restaurants contribute a portion of their sales on specific days, Shopping for Education gives businesses and consumers an opportunity to support the chamber’s grant program.

More than a dozen businesses across Kernersville are participating this year and shoppers will be able to support the initiative anytime between Wednesday and Saturday.

The final Eating for Education event of the year is also occurring on Wednesday.
