The Kernersville Chamber of Commerce presented its Annual Business Awards on Thursday morning. Four awards were presented during the ceremony.
“It’s no secret the greatest economic strength of our community is the variety of businesses that call Kernersville home,” said Kernersville Mayor Dawn Morgan in her opening comments. “A vibrant business community creates opportunities that change lives.”
The categories as defined by the chamber and winners of each award are:
Business of the Year: Savage Roasters Coffee (Joshua, Miah, and Kim Pratt [left to right] pictured in featured image)
“Celebrating a business that exemplifies excellence in management and active community engagement.”
Business Person of the Year: Dr. Kim Snider of Village Family Chiropractic
“Honoring an individual who shows outstanding leadership, business development, and community involvement.”
Duke Energy Citizenship and Service Award: Kernersville VFW Post 5352
“Recognizing a business with a sustained commitment to community service and exemplary business values.”
John Owensby Business Advocate of the Year: Mark Stamper, owner of Folly’s Draft & Snack and Social Habit
“Acknowledging an individual who significantly promotes and supports business growth in Kernersville.”
In her closing remarks, Kernersville Chamber of Commerce President Chris Comer said: “This morning we’ve heard about successes, we’ve heard about giving back, we’ve heard about how strong our town is.”
