The East Forsyth Eagles made a short trip to Glenn High School on Friday, defeating the home team 49-6 and extending their undefeated season.
The Eagles started the game strong with a rushing touchdown from Cannen Rottweiler on their first drive.
Glenn could not get its offense up and running. Every Glenn punt in the first half led to an East Forsyth score: one rushing touchdown from Corey Blair and four passing touchdowns from Bryce Baker, including two caught by birthday boy J.P. Gilchrist.
The Eagles were up 42-0 at halftime.
Glenn cornerback J’zeir Dixon caught an interception and ran it back 25 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to make it 42-6. Then, East Forsyth linebacker Kenyon Smith answered with a pick six of his own, bringing the final score to 49-6.
East Forsyth is now 9-0. The Eagles will play their last regular season game at home next week against the West Forsyth Titans.
Glenn is 2-7 and will finish out the season at Davie High School next week.
