East Forsyth finished its undefeated regular season with a thrilling 48-42 win over the West Forsyth Titans. The Eagles started strong after receiving the opening kickoff; Corey Blair scored a rushing touchdown just two plays into the game.

Their next offensive drive was a different story. West Forsyth kept the pressure on quarterback Bryce Baker. After getting sacked once, Baker tried to outrun the aggressive pass rush and threw to unsuspecting running back Cannen Rottweiler who had turned to block for Baker. The pass bounced off his helmet and into the hands of a West Forsyth defender who ran it back for a touchdown.

East Forsyth special teams blocked the extra point, making it 7-6.

West Forsyth took control of the game in the second quarter. They led 35-21 at halftime, fueled by a dynamic quarterback whose final stat line would include three passing touchdowns, 166 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns.

This style of play proved to be a double-edged sword for the Titans when East Forsyth forced the quarterback to fumble in the fourth quarter and ran it into the end zone for a touchdown. The Eagles opened up a 42-35 lead.

West Forsyth answered with a 46-yard passing touchdown just 12 seconds later. Then, the final Baker-Gilchrist touchdown happened, and the Eagles became the Central Piedmont 4A champions with a perfect 10-0 record.

Hurricane Helene extended the high school football season one week to allow postponed games to be made up. The playoff bracket will be released Nov. 10 and the 4A playoffs will begin Nov. 15.
