An annual holiday charity will once again be receiving financial support by way of donations made at an upcoming Christmas concert.
Tammy Slate, chair of the Kernersville Christmas Stocking Fund, told Scope News that all proceeds will benefit the campaign. For decades, this donation-driven fund has helped provide presents and meals to local families in need during the holidays.
Triad-based barbershop quartet Sound Counsel will be headlining the 14th annual show, which is being organized this year by Triad Harmony Express. The concert is set for Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Main Street United Methodist Church, 306 South Main Street.
Donations will be accepted at the door, but admission to the event is free.
Students from several local schools will also perform, including the Hanes Magnet Dragon Scales and Bows, Piney Grove Elementary Chorus and Recorder Club, Cash Elementary Cougar Chorus, and Kernersville Middle Chorus.
