Christmas at Körner’s Folly

Tuesday, Nov. 26 to Saturday, Jan. 4. 413 South Main Street.

Community club volunteers transformed the historic home into this year’s decorating theme: A Gilded Christmas. Buy tickets for self-guided tours lasting approximately one hour. 

Santa Meet & Greet and Toy Drive

2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30. Lower level of the Salvation Army, 130 East Mountain Street.

Kernersville Little Theatre hosts a free opportunity to talk to Santa and pose for pictures with him. Visitors are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the toy drive. 

Christmas at Smith Hollow Farm 

11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday from Nov. 30 to Dec. 21. 5920 Smith Hollow Road 

Visit both the Grinch and Santa during Smith Hollow Farm’s Christmas-themed activity extravaganza. Photos with Santa will be offered from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. each Saturday. Tickets required. 

Spectacular Holiday Blooms

5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from Nov. 29 to Dec. 29. Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden, 215 South Main Street.

Stroll through over 10,000 illuminated “flowers” and trees in this one-of-a-kind light display. Tickets required. 

Merry Maker Market

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29 and Saturday, Nov. 30. Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden, 215 South Main Street.

Vendors selling artisan crafts, jewelry, bags, pet products, home decor, and more will be set up inside and outside the Botanical Garden building. A gift wrapping station and food trucks will be onsite. 

Remembrance Wreaths

Deadline Dec. 3.

The VFW will lay Remembrance Wreaths on graves of fallen soldiers at Eastman Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visit online to sponsor a wreath by Dec. 3. The wreaths will be laid at noon on Dec. 14

Christmas Classics Extravaganza

4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4. TREX Cinema, 755 Cinema Court.

Moviegoers will choose between Elf, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, It’s A Wonderful Life, and Polar Express. All four movies will have a showing at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The cinema will also have a holiday raffle, a movie memorabilia sale, and a special visit from Santa. Tickets and concessions will be available at discounted prices. 

Kernersville Little Theatre Presents: Miracle on 34th Street

Select days Dec. 6 through Dec. 15. Kernersville Elementary, 512 West Mountain Street.

Based on the film, this stage adaptation follows a department store Santa as he tries to prove in court he is the real Kris Kringle. Matinee and evening tickets are available. 

Local Roots Holiday Market

8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Local Roots Coffee Bar, 247 North Cherry Street.

Buy from local vendors and have festive family fun at this annual market. 

Glenn High School Holly Day Craft and Vendor Show

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. 1600 Union Cross Road.

Over 100 vendors will be selling their unique crafts at the 13th annual Holly Day show. 

Musten & Crutchfield Holiday Market

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. 245 North Main Street.

Hosted by Cousin Eddie’s Sauce, this market will feature 30+ local vendors selling unique treasures. 

Blooms to Bells

4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. 136 East Mountain Street.

Take a trolley ride from the Botanical Garden to the Historic Train Depot and experience Kernersville’s shimmering decorations. Participating stores along the way will offer holiday specials. There will be a pop-up ice skating rink along the route. Pictures with Santa are available at the depot and free to take on personal devices, but will end at 6 p.m. for the Kernersville Christmas Tree Lighting. 

Christmas Tree Lighting

6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Town Hall, 134 East Mountain Street.

Drink hot chocolate and eat donuts as you wait for the tree to be illuminated. Live performance from choirs and musicians will provide the holiday tunes. Kids can drop off letters to Santa and he will write them back in a few weeks!

Kernersville Christmas Parade

2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8. 126 East Mountain Street.

The route will start at the corner of Pineview Drive and Highway 66 and continue down Mountain Street, ending at Kernersville Elementary School. The parade will feature marching bands, dance groups, parade floats, Santa, and more. 

Ugly Sweater Bar Crawl

5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14. Breathe Cocktail Lounge, 221 North Main Street.

Stop in at several downtown Kernersville bars, including Folly’s Draft & Snack, Little Brother Brewing, Breathe Cocktail Lounge, Social Habit, and Busy As A Bee. Each bar will hold ugly sweater contests at 8 p.m.  

Christmas in Kernersville

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14. VFW Post 5352, 612 Edgewood Street.

Local vendors and crafters will sell handmade items for all the last-minute Christmas shoppers out there. Food will be sold by the VFW. 

Village Holiday Market

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14. Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden, 215 South Main Street.

Village Family Chiropractic hosts its 9th annual market complete with holiday shopping, pictures with Santa, chair massages, and door prizes like a 40” LED TV.
