Update: In statement provided to Scope News after the original publication of the following article, general manager Manya Mitchell confirmed that the grand opening had been postponed until Wednesday. Wingstop will be open that day from 11:00 a.m. to midnight.
Kernersville’s newest chain restaurant is scheduled to open its doors this weekend, pending inspections. Located at 809 Old Winston Road, Wingstop will tentatively be open daily from 11:00 a.m. to midnight.
General manager Manya Mitchell told Scope News that as long as the inspections go well, employees are all set to welcome customers on Sunday.
“I am extremely excited myself as I have been in restaurant management for over 10 years and this will be my first grand opening,” Mitchell said.
Wingstop began in 1994 in Garland, Texas. The chain offers both classic bone-in and boneless wings tossed in a variety of sauces and seasonings ranging from mild to “atomic” spicy.
