Months after an iconic downtown eatery was gutted by a fire, its staff is preparing to reopen the doors next week.
According to a recent social media update, Fitz on Main’s first day of business in the renovated space at 109 North Main Street will be January 30. Hours of operation will be 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Take-out service will resume the following week.

As Scope News previously reported, owner David Fitzpatrick addressed the Kernersville Board of Aldermen just days after the May 30 fire to express his gratitude for the outpouring of local support.
“This town is about community,” he said at the time. “I’ve lived it and now I’m experiencing the other side — and I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
