Raising children of any age comes with a host of unique challenges, but a new monthly program offers a free resource to local families.
Kernersville Counseling Center recently kicked off its “Parents Time In” initiative, which is a no-cost parenting support group held at its downtown office in The Factory, 210 North Main Street.
The first meeting for parents and guardians of teens was held January 15 and the initial meeting for those raising children 11 years old and under will be Wednesday night. Future sessions are scheduled on the third and first Wednesdays of each month, respectively, at 5:30 p.m.
Two therapists from the facility will be on hand “to facilitate dialogue, foster connection, and provide guidance when asked,” according to a statement.
