Volunteer Coach Arrested On Suspicion Of Sexual Activity With Student

The Kernersville Police Department announced on Wednesday that a suspect had been arrested in connection with a report last year regarding alleged “sexual activity involving a student and a volunteer coach within the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System.”

Authorities conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of Johnaisha Renee Watson on one count of felony sexual activity with a student. She was arrested and issued a $25,000 secured bond.

The KPD statement indicated that the evidence indicates Watson “had engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with a student,” noting that the alleged incident did not occur on school property.

“The Kernersville Police Department remains dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community’s youth,” the news release concluded. “Anyone with additional information related to this case is encouraged to contact the Kernersville Police Department.”
