Downtown Prepares For Even Bigger Spring Folly

The rides and attractions are beginning to take shape downtown as locals count down the days until Kernersville’s biggest annual festival.

In addition to the familiar midway experience at Harmon Park, lines of vendors in every direction, and entertainment around each corner, this year’s festival promises even more fun than before.

“Our 32nd Spring Folly will include a new location on East Mountain Street for a stage with food trucks,” said Kernersville Chamber of Commerce President Chris Comer. “Roving this year will be jugglers and returning will be magic, chainsaw carving, and plenty of fantastic live music. Don’t forget to take advantage of all the food and the carnival rides.”

The Spring Folly brings tens of thousands of visitors to Kernersville’s downtown district each May, and more than 200 vendors are participating in this year’s event.

Local civic groups and community outreach programs will benefit from food sales throughout the three-day festival. Entertainment begins on multiple stages at 6:00 p.m on Friday and noon on Saturday.

Here’s a full schedule:

Coinciding with this year’s Spring Folly is a live, women-led muraling event coordinated by local artist Christina Parrish, as Scope News previously reported.
