A Kernersville landmark dating back to 1858 is entering a brand new phase.

Under new ownership and management, the Harmon House at 149 Main Street has been transformed into a full-service event venue with the charm of a bygone era.

“We really pride ourselves on the personal touch … you’re not going to get at other event centers,” operations manager Teresa Seagraves told Scope News. 

The renovated home is now hosting everything from weddings and baby showers to live music, paint-and-sip nights, and holiday parties.

“We just want to let everyone know that Harmon House is now an event center,” Seagraves said. “Whether it’s a private event such as an all-inclusive wedding, baby shower, graduation parties, photo events, things like that.”

She noted that Harmon House also regularly hosts public events including monthly paint-and-sip nights and live music.

“We pride ourselves in being the only all-inclusive venue in Kernersville,” she said.

Events at the Harmon House aren’t one-size-fits-all affairs, she said, assuring that staff will go the extra mile to ensure every detail suits the client’s vision and budget.

The house features several dedicated spaces for various aspects of a wedding ceremony, including a bridal suite, a groom’s game room stocked with food and games, a linen room stocked with rentable decor, and even a honeymoon suite complete with breakfast prepared by an in-house chef.

The venue also caters to holiday parties and is currently running a Christmas party promotion.

“If you book before September 1st, you get a free appetizer for your entire group,” Seagraves added.

From high tea to high-energy music nights under the gazebo, Harmon House is making history again — this time as a one-of-a-kind gathering place for revelers from across the Triad and beyond.
