Local Man Faces Felony Charges Linked To Missing Juveniles

A 22-year-old Kernersville man was arrested on multiple felony charges after authorities say he and two missing juveniles were found together at a local motel.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Damion Jay Huffman was arrested early Wednesday as part of an investigation into two minors reported missing the previous day from a home in Winston-Salem.

The suspect is facing a slate of felony counts including statutory sexual offense with a person 15 or younger, indecent liberties with a child, and second-degree kidnapping.

He was placed in custody without bond ahead of his first court appearance. The FCSO said that, due to the involvement of minors, further details would be withheld.
