Local Candidates ‘Meet And Greet’ Voters This Tuesday

Local voters will have an opportunity to meet this year’s municipal candidates face to face during an event hosted by the Kernersville Chamber of Commerce.

The “meet and greet session” will take place Tuesday beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Kernersville Fire and Rescue Station #42, 1180 NC Highway 66. It is free and open to the public.

Unlike a debate or more structured forum, Chamber of Commerce President Chris Comer told Scope News that this gathering will provide a more relaxed setting for residents to get to know the candidates. She emphasized the chamber’s longstanding positive relationship with the town’s elected officials and its commitment to ensuring that every candidate has a fair platform to share their vision for Kernersville’s future.

After the meet and greet, candidates will make their remarks starting at 6:15 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided by The Shepherd’s Center of Kernersville.

As part of our continuing election coverage, Scope News will publish a voter guide on Sunday featuring responses from mayoral and Board of Aldermen candidates, both incumbents and challengers, to a questionnaire we sent them earlier this month. This guide is designed to complement the chamber’s event and provide voters with additional insight ahead of Election Day.
