As part of its Hometown Christmas Village this year at the corner of Cherry and Mountain streets, the Kernersville Museum Foundation is adding a little extra fun to its synthetic ice rink.
The special events kick off Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a “Frozen” themed event, where kids are encouraged to dress as their favorite character from the animated film. The first 100 skaters will take home a themed goodie bag.

One week later, Ugly Christmas Sweater Skating Day provides an opportunity for festive photos during the same three-hour window. And a January 2 event, Neon Skating Party, wraps up the themed skating from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., complete with neon-themed goodie bags for all skaters.
Skating sessions cost $5 per half hour, including skate rental. The rink uses a synthetic surface designed to perform like ice without the cold.
Cash-only tickets are available on site and a liability waiver is required for all skaters. Those under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign on their behalf.
